 PSYCHIATRIST FEES

MEDICARE PATIENT FEE 

With a GP Medicare referral for a Psychiatrist, the out of pocket fee for the initial appointment is $338. Out of pocket fee for all follow up appointments is $150. This is for all conditions including ADHD.

PRIVATE PATIENT FEE 

You can see one of our Psychiatrists as a Private Patient if you do not have a GP Medicare referral. You can email us to book an appointment as a Private Patient. For all conditions including ADHD, the out of pocket fee for initial appointment is $600 and for follow up appointments is $ 250.

Assessment and start of treatment for ADHD usually takes two appointments with psychiatrists. Occasionally there will be need for further information or detailed testing of executive function.  Assessments for ADHD include a comprehensive psychiatric assessment.

Assessments for ASD/Autism usually take two appointments. There might be need for further information or psychometric testing. Assessments for ASD include a comprehensive psychiatric assessment.

If you have already been diagnosed or treated for ADHD/ASD the process of assessment remains the same as Psychiatrists will need to confirm diagnoses to be able to treat/prescribe medications. Your prior assessment/treatment reports will be taken into consideration in your appointment with the psychiatrist here.

Appointments can be done by Telehealth or in person at out clinic.
